The Nano Research and Technology Development Fund is a specialized financial institution in the field of advanced technology, established in 2011 based on the decision of the 11th meeting of the Coordination Workgroup of Article 100 of the Third Development Plan Law (Article 45 of the Fourth Development Plan Law) in 2011.
Authority:
The Nano Fund is the financial agent of the scientific and technological authority of the Presidency. Financial support is provided to leading scientific researchers of the country to achieve scientific authority and enhance Iran’s scientific standing in the world. This support is in the form of research grants and incentive supports provided by the Nano Fund to individuals.

The Fund's Financial Resources
The fund supports the development of technology businesses using the following financial resources:
- Profits from the fund’s operations.
- Gratuitous assistance or participation from the Vice Presidency for Science and Technology, the Special Headquarters for the Development of Nanotechnology, or the Innovation and Prosperity Fund.
- Gifts, aids, grants, and contributions from individuals, legal entities, private companies, and other legally authorized sources.
